Switching Scenes keeps previous Sound Sources

This started doing this today. OBS 32.1.1

When I switch scenes some sound sources that existed on the previous scene, and do not on the next scene I am switching to, remain.

Yesterday I did a swap between profiles, which resulted in a warning about something going wrong and having to close OBS to stop any data corruption. I don't know if that is related, but earlier this week this wasn't happening. So that may be what started causing this to happen. But I am unsure on that.

So whatever is happening survives a restart of the application.

If I create a brand new scene the audio mixer still shows all of the sound Sources. If I try to add a source to this blank scene of one of these ghosted sources it allows me to do so (but doesn't show a second one in the mixer). If I then remove that source it still remains in the mixer.

It seems, as of right now, these audio sources are just permanently on and audible at all times for no known reason I can find.

This usually means a 3rd party plugin has held a reference to the source and is keeping it alive. Try Help / Safe Mode to verify.

Ok yeah, restarting in safe mode and everything is gone. After some troubleshooting it looks like Atium Vertical Canvas was doing it.

Do I just need to go into the data folder for the plugin and delete it and let it recreate to fix it?

First check to see if there's an updated version of the plugin, usually bugs like this should be solved in newer versions. Otherwise try posting in the forum thread for the plugin. While you can definitely try deleting the data folder I am not sure what consequences that might have.
