Edit: Btw @Harold, I'm very new to this and noticed your signature mentions to not save to .mp4. I didn't know about that, don't know why not to save to .mp4, but I have a feeling your signature will save me a lot of time in the future. So grateful for the help that newbs like myself can find so quickly.
Wait... If you amputate both hands, and count the reasons on the remaining fingers, let's see *does some calculus and differential equations...* So there are zero reasons to save to mp4? Got it.
The main reason for not saving to MP4 is that if there is/are any slight disruptions to the recording process (read glitch or OBS crashes) the recorded file will be lost/unrecoverable. With other formats (MKV) the recorded file can be recovered.
